The members of the panel for the fist People’s Tribunal on Economic Crime have released their preliminary findings.

They include a strong call for full and thorough investigation into actors identified in the evidence heard at the Tribunal related to all three eras under scrutiny – apartheid era sanctions busting, the 1999 Arms Deal, and contemporary ‘state capture’.

They also point to a deliberate or ‘grossly negligent’ failure to investigate these crimes throughout South Africa.
